Dinner & Show: Where Once They Stood

“Where Once They Stood” – A moving tribute to the Beaumont Hamel and Newfoundland and Labrador’s involvement in the First World War (FWW)

The CLB has partnered with the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador to Honour the 100 Grant Program, the City of St. John’s and Spirit of Newfoundland to create a show that celebrates the 100th anniversary of Beaumont Hamel and the First World War.

Guests will be transported back in time to the Regimental Headquarters again as Spirit of Newfoundland takes you back to the beginning of 1914 with the King’s call to duty.

When the lights dim, Spirit of Newfoundland will take you on a musical journey through the joys and sorrows of war.

“Where Once They Stood” is a dramatic and comedic look back at the First World War that tells our story through historic facts enhanced with music from the era, from haunting ballads to songs that will make you stand up and cheer.

Spirit of Newfoundland promises to move the audience to tears and then laughter, leaving you with a new sense of pride for what Newfoundlanders and Labradorians achieved during First World War and particularly at Beaumont Hamel.

After a very successful showing last year, “Where Once They Stood” returns to the historic CLB Armoury on Harvey Road in St. John’s for a two night showing, September 21st and 22nd, 2017.  Tickets for the Dinner & Show cost $100.00 each and will be available for purchase at the CLB Armoury.
