Upload Tool
We've all attended events, and we've all taken photographs and videos. But what happens after that? We would like to see your photos/videos, and potentially use them on promotional materials, social media, our website, and in our newsletter The Bugle. Please see below for some tips on taking great photos and video.
We have created this tool to ensure C.L.B. members, family & supporters can submit files safely and securely to the organization, while maintaining the highest quality possible.
Attention:
Please do not submit files you have downloaded from other sources (IE: Facebook). This tool is meant to upload photos/videos directly from your device (IE: phone or computer).
Tips for taking quality Photos and Videos
Watch the light:
- If the sun is shining in people’s eyes, try turning them away from it.
- If the room is too dark, try to move to a brighter spot.
Check what’s in the frame:
- Make sure the people you are photographing are not too far away or too close.
- If there is too much space around them, move closer.
- If part of someone is cut off, take a step back.
Ask people to look at your camera:
- If they’re looking at someone else taking a picture, wait until they’re looking at you.
Ask people to stand close together:
- If people are spread out, ask them to move closer just for the photo or video.
Keep the camera steady when filming:
- If you move the camera, do it slowly and smoothly. Fast or jerky movement can ruin the video.
Please don’t take selfies:
- We know they’re popular, but selfies often don’t follow the tips above. If possible, ask someone else to take the photo or video for you.
